It looks like Bristol Palin had has quite a swing in her emotions towards Levi Johnston, the self-described ‘redneck’ who is the father of her baby Tripp.

At the beginning of this month Palin spoke to Harper’s and lamented her relationship with Johnston.

“I just ignore it. He is a stranger to me,” she said at the time. “I don’t want to get into it. It’s just dirty laundry.”

The National Enquirer this week reveals that Bristol Palin, who they described as ‘Teen Prego Queen‘ has been carrying on with a relationship with Johnston behind the back of her mother, Sarah Palin.

The animosity between Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston has been well documented.

“Sarah’s going to explode when she finds out Bristol has been sneaking Levi into her townhouse to stay the night,” an insider told the tabloid.

Today Bristol Palin sought to clarify the relationship status with a statement to Good Morning America. She said that the relationship between her and Johnston should be consider ‘co-parenting.’

“I am doing my best to raise a happy, active and healthy boy,” Palin, 19, said. “I believe that wherever possible, if the parents can cooperate and co-parent in a positive way, the child will benefit. Levi and I are turning a new page here as co-parents to this wonderful boy and putting aside the past because doing so is in Tripp’s best interest.”
